Sa\u0161ko Mitovski was born on May 14, 1987, in Kriva Palanka, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He earned his higher education at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje (UTMS), Faculty of Economics, graduating in 2018 with a degree in economics.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/article><\/div>

He is 38 years old, married, and a father of three minor children.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/article><\/div>

From an early age, Mitovski showed a strong affinity for organization, creativity, and social engagement. As a high school student, he served as president of the student council at Secondary School \u201cGjorgje Petrov\u201d and organized numerous cultural, sports, and youth events that left a lasting impact on the town. One of the most notable events from that period was the first organized municipal futsal league a project that brought together the youth sports spirit in Kriva Palanka.<\/p>

In the period 2004\u20132006, Mitovski served as president of the non-governmental organization Regional Center for Development, through which he implemented several projects aimed at improving the local community and promoting youth activism.<\/p>

Mayor\u2019s Authorities<\/h3>
The Mayor exercises his authorities in accordance with the law and the Statute of the Municipality. He oversees the legality and ensures the publication and implementation of the Council\u2019s decisions, proposes regulations, the Budget, and the Annual Financial Statement, and executes the Budget. He manages the municipal administration, makes decisions on employment and adopts acts on organizational structure, oversees municipal property as a responsible caretaker, handles administrative matters concerning the rights and obligations of citizens and legal entities, appoints directors of public services, regularly informs the Council, participates in its sessions and bodies without voting rights, cooperates with other municipalities, and designates a Council member to act as his substitute in case of absence or incapacity. The Municipal Council is responsible for adopting the Statute, the Rules of Procedure, the Work Program, the Budget, and the Annual Financial Statement; determining its own revenues; urban planning and spatial organization; adopting programs and decisions related to infrastructure, traffic, public cleanliness, the environment, local economic development, culture, sports, social and health protection, education, and public safety; managing and disposing of municipal property; establishing and supervising public services; making appointments and dismissals; performing financial control of the Budget; forming commissions; establishing awards and recognitions; providing opinions on draft laws concerning the Municipality; as well as performing other tasks and making decisions prescribed by law and within its authority.<\/p>
