Mayor’s Authorities

The Mayor exercises his authorities in accordance with the law and the Statute of the Municipality. He oversees the legality and ensures the publication and implementation of the Council’s decisions, proposes regulations, the Budget, and the Annual Financial Statement, and executes the Budget. He manages the municipal administration, makes decisions on employment and adopts acts on organizational structure, oversees municipal property as a responsible caretaker, handles administrative matters concerning the rights and obligations of citizens and legal entities, appoints directors of public services, regularly informs the Council, participates in its sessions and bodies without voting rights, cooperates with other municipalities, and designates a Council member to act as his substitute in case of absence or incapacity. All these activities are carried out in the public interest and in accordance with legal provisions.
